doormat days are back again
being smart is truly a matter of opinion. take for example this student who graduated magna cum laude. she participated in a lot of demanding extracurricular activities, served in the student government, finished a couple of minors (and almost got a third one, before the lightbulb turned on), and learned how to properly put on make-up (which includes that dastardly invention- the eyelash curler), while slaving away on her major. she has gone to different countries on her own and learned how to properly manage a budget. she can speak 4 languages and knows how to handle drunk morons (or moronic drunks- take your pick), poopy toddlers and irate principals.
what's the egghead up to now?
relegated to doing her sister's reflection paper because the poor thing needs to study for her philo and phil history exams. (no! i-- err... she does not want to discuss the nuances between the tydings-mcduffie act and the hare-hawes-cutting act!)
she seriously needs to get a clue.

in other news:
1. ate dinner at saisaki last wednesday to celebrate the birthdays of the october boys: olli, say, abz (sept), p, cheng, and arun. ate a lot thanks to paul. went to cheng's house for after-dinner drinks and socializing (polite speak for getting wasted and talking about anything and everything). of course, i just had a glass of red wine, a shot of tequila, a couple of cans of beer, a bottle of sake, and a pack of cigs. heh.
2. stayed at corregidor for the weekend for work/play, where i could have sworn i had a paranormal experience. no, it was not during the warbling in front of the videoke... although the smoke made that part hazy. nor was it during the blackout when i screamed like a girl. all i can say is, no amount of free food will coax me into staying there for another night.

doing the reflection paper might have helped her study for history.
one of the perks of being the youngest... i have no baby brother/sister to be a doormat to! bahahaha!
although, i don't recall ever really having my brothers do my homework/projects for me. the idea of being laughed at because i couldn't do it was enough to keep my mouth shut before i asked.
i did ask my mom to do my silly crotchet and embroidery projects...
and studying for philo means... studying the night before the exams. that's it. bahahahaha!

hahaha! unfortunately, i'm very susceptible to my little sister's begging. *hork* this from the person who can cold-heartedly scratch the name of the moron who didn't help with a project off the list.
anyhoo, i owe nice around a hundred bucks by now. *blink* *blink*

oh yeah, i definitely asked my mom to finish my cross-stitch project for home ec after innumerable puncture wounds.
don't even ask about the pajama-bottom-skirt hybrid i managed to create one sad friday afternoon for home ec finals.

kai, you did ask for help from your brothers--- P&p production with our mangled chicken:) haha
The cross stitching and the embroidery was fun... the cooking part of home ec is what i never liked... hahaha.. well, i need not reiterate my rice incident back in college. :P

... how in god's name do you get puncture wounds from a blunt cross-stich needle?
i had my brother's yaya make my pajama project for me. my teacher took one look, laughed and said "you didn't do this, did you?" but she still gave me a perfect score.
@anj: heeey, that was reasonable... it's better to get guys to play guy roles after all.
i liked cooking class... i just hated the teacher... what's her name again, anj? our advisor who always cries like a frickin baby.

oh, you use a blunt needle for cross-stitch? *scratch head*
for the love of god... o,o

pajama-bottom-skirt hybrid? hmm...sounds interesting! i still have my sewing class project apron and pouch bag -- i am such a dweeb @_@ and yes, buttercup, you use a (very) blunt needle for cross stitching -- i tried stabbing someone with it before and was dismayed as i seem to have inflicted only bruises (where's the spurting blood? deafening screams of raw fear?) anyhoo, i miss you and wanted to check how the teaching's going :) anton also would like to know, but for more professional reasons than mine (any class management tips? eew.) do you have any cute students? *wink wink* ack, i shouldn't have said that.

nice: feeler pwet! i betcha what i theoretically owe you that you still help your sister with hers! *points finger and sticks out tongue back* hahaha!

nice: aww... i miss you too! teaching's going fine. i have so much kwento, can't wait to see you again. :) class management tips? don't be a doormat for starters. haha! honestly, i'm just feeling my way too. i have a humongous class of 35 so it's a challenge to get everyone in line. actually, i wanna talk to anton about his technique as well. ;p as for cute students... are you the one doing the asking or is it anton? ;p
p.s. you honestly expect me to know that there are different kinds of needles? moreover, that cross-stitch needles are very blunt? O.o
